Walker’s Shortbread has been baking traditional Scottish shortbread in the Speyside village of Aberlour since 1898. Still family-owned, the company is now run by descendants of founder Joseph Walker and remains one of Scotland’s best-known shortbread makers.
The classic Walker’s shortbread recipe uses just four simple ingredients - flour, pure creamery butter, sugar and salt – to create its distinctive rich, buttery flavour and crisp, crumbly texture. Alongside traditional shortbread fingers, rounds and triangles, the range now includes shaped biscuits, chocolate varieties, oatcakes, festive shortbread, gift tins and seasonal treats.
Walker’s is particularly well known for its Scottish gift tins and Christmas range, making its shortbread a popular choice for gifting, sharing and enjoying with tea or coffee. Gluten-free shortbread options are also available for those looking for an alternative to the traditional wheat-based recipe.
Made in Scotland and recognised around the world by its distinctive tartan packaging, Walker’s continues to combine traditional recipes with more than a century of family baking experience.
