Turmeric is a traditional botanical ingredient widely used in food and nutritional supplements. NaturesPlus uses a concentrated turmeric rhizome extract standardised to 95% curcuminoids, the naturally occurring compounds found in turmeric.
The formula also contains ginger root extract and black pepper fruit extract. The black pepper extract is standardised to provide piperine, while the ginger extract is standardised to provide gingerols.
Why is black pepper often combined with turmeric?
Black pepper contains piperine, which is commonly combined with turmeric in supplement formulations. NaturesPlus Turmeric Gummies provide 100µg of black pepper extract standardised to 95% piperine alongside the turmeric and ginger extracts.
The peach-flavoured gummy format is a convenient alternative for people who prefer not to take turmeric capsules or tablets.
