Lutein and zeaxanthin are carotenoids naturally found in colourful fruits and vegetables, particularly leafy greens. They are also naturally present in the macula of the eye, where they form part of the macular pigment.
Ultra Lutein uses FloraGLO® lutein, a purified lutein derived from marigold flower extract, together with zeaxanthin from the same botanical source. Each softgel provides 20mg lutein and 860µg zeaxanthin.

Lutein and zeaxanthin belong to the carotenoid family of plant pigments. Unlike some other carotenoids, they are concentrated in the tissues of the eye, particularly the macula.
