Black seed oil, sometimes known as black cumin seed oil, is extracted from the seeds of the Nigella sativa plant. The seeds have a long history of traditional use, particularly throughout the Middle East, North Africa and Asia.

Alpha 01 uses cold pressing, rather than high-temperature extraction, to produce its oil. The finished oil is left unrefined, helping to preserve the naturally occurring fatty acids and plant compounds found within the seed.
