How to use Irish Moss:
Use 5g as a thickening agent in soups, stews and sauces
Use as a vegan gelatine replacement in vegan desserts
Make hot chocolate by adding a pinch of Irish Moss to milk and cocoa. Allow to simmer on the hob for a thick, dreamy hot chocolate.

Often used as a vegan alternative to gelatine, or as a thickening agent in soups, stews and sauces, Organic Irish Moss (also known as carrageen or sea moss) is a versatile kitchen essential.
Irish Moss has a soft texture and a very subtle flavour. In fact, after simmering but is largely tasteless. Its magic lies in its ability to be used as a vegetarian and vegan substitute for gelatine and thickening agents.
Use a teaspoon of Irish Moss as a thickening agent in soups, stews and sauces, or use it in place of gelatine in pannacotta to keep the texture beautifully smooth and wobbly.
