Steel cut oats make delicious, traditional porridge or they can be used in baking, stuffing or coating meat & fish. Renowned for its textural qualities, steel-cut oats also make an excellent ingredient to use in artisan bread recipes.

Rich in plant-based protein and an excellent source of complex carbohydrates, oats also contain a type of soluble fibre called beta-glucans. Beta-glucans have been shown to support the maintenance and reduction of blood cholesterol levels.

For best results, cook oats on the hob. You can heat them through in the microwave too if needed, but where possible, we suggest gentle heating on the hob. Use water, milk, or your choice of plant-based milk. Top with cinnamon, bananas, agave syrup – or simply salt if you’re feeling traditional!
