This premium oil is cold extracted from selected Italian olives giving it a beautiful, mellow flavour. Ideal for salad dressings and low-medium heat cooking such as sautéing vegetables, Clearspring Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil adds a classy touch to your dishes.
Olive oil is a healthy choice too, boasting higher monounsaturated fat levels than other oils, making it a good choice for heart-healthy cooking.
Can I use Extra Virgin Olive Oil for cooking?
Most suited to dressings and dips, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil can be used for cooking purposes too. It is not recommended, however, to use olive oil in high-temperature cooking. Olive Oil has a smoke point of around 190–207°C meaning it should not be heated above this range.
Low to mid-temperature cooking is good but if using higher temperatures consider using other cooking oils with a higher smoke point such as avocado, sunflower or sesame oil.
